WHERE’S CARTER HART?”: Well, we’re glad you asked … he only set the hockey world on fire last night and brings a gold medal home to Everett soon … he seized the gold medal with Hockey Canada in his second straight appearance at the IIHF World Junior Championship tournament in Buffalo, N.Y. … Canada faced the United States on Dec. 29 at NewEra Field in Buffalo for the outdoor game of the event and Hart was named Player of the Game with 32 saves … his 35 saves led to Player of the Game honors in the gold medal victory last night against Sweden (3-1 victory) … his eight wins have tied Canada’s all-time record at the World Juniors with Jimmy Waite and Stephane Fiset … Hart went 5-0-0-1 in the tournament with a 1.64 goals-against-average and .935 save percentage.
